Job Summary

Product Development Engineer

The Product Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing industrial manufactured products for a variety of OEM & Industrial applications. This role focuses on optimizing product performance, cost, and manufacturability while collaborating with global cross-functional teams to support product line success.

Location: Denver, CO

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 base salary + Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, 6% 401k match, 3 weeks PTO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize industrial product lines for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain global product design standards.
  • Plan and manage global design projects, including schedules, deliverables, and business case execution.
  • Lead prototyping, validation testing, and failure analysis.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide engineering support to commercial teams.
  • Apply engineering and Six Sigma tools such as SPC, FMEA, and DOE for problem-solving and process improvement
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical design principles and integration with related disciplines.
  • Understanding of market standards, competitive differentiation, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, from concept development to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills for experimental design, data analysis, and problem formulation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of leading small to moderate projects and mentoring team members.

Qualifications Seeking:
  • 5-7 years of experience in product design, development, prototyping, and testing.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (PTC Creo preferred).
  • Experience with hydraulic quick-disconnect couplings or mechanical design preferred.
  • Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
  • Strong background in clean-sheet design and problem-solving tools (SPC, FMEA, DOE).
  • Hands-on approach to engineering and product development.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20%.
  • Effective collaboration in a global, fast-paced environment.
