The OpportunityAs theFood Service Manager, you?ll oversee daily operations within the prepared foods and deli departments, ensuring smooth execution from production to customer service. You?ll lead and inspire your team to maintain top-quality standards, manage inventory, and deliver an outstanding shopping experience to every guest.
What You?ll Do
Schedule, train, and guide food service staff to achieve departmental goals and maintain efficient operations
Ensure fresh, high-quality offerings by monitoring rotation, labeling, and proper storage practices
Analyze department performance and implement strategies to control labor costs, reduce shrink, and enhance profitability
Oversee food safety compliance, sanitation, and equipment operation in accordance with OSHA and company policies
Partner with department and store leadership to identify process improvements, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction
Coordinate ordering, receiving, and merchandising to maintain consistent availability and presentation of all food items
Build creative, market-driven displays and ensure signage accuracy to support sales programs and promotions
Address customer concerns promptly and model exceptional service behaviors for all associates
Facilitate team development through coaching, feedback, and performance recognition
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED required; some college or additional certifications preferred
Minimum 3 years of related food service experience, including at least one year in a leadership role
Strong understanding of food safety regulations, health codes, and sanitation best practices
Ability to multitask in a busy, customer-facing environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays as needed
Valid Food Safety Management certification
